Recession Schmo-cession!

My sister held a "Recessionista" party on Thursday that was the highlight of my month! "What is a Recessionista Party", you say? It is when all your friends get together and bring all the clothes and housewares they don't want/use anymore and everyone switches or buys it for a great deal! Who can afford to go on a shopping spree these days? Not me! This is such a great idea for all you ladies out there who are looking for a great way to get some new threads and just be with all your lady friends! And...it is a spectacular thing when you can be a Fashionista Recessionista!

Can't forget to eat some good grub to go with all the new garb!

The ladies are shopping it up! Also, included were children's clothes!

This is just one example of what most people's baskets looked like after just a few minutes of rummaging! You know what they say: "One person's trash is another person's treasure!"

It was a huge success and who doesn't need a night out with the ladies, shopping, and eating!

There were tables set up to display people's items, but as you can see, there was so much stuff that there was an overflow on the floor!

This is what every room looked like - Full of clothes and endless possibilities for a new look!

Wow 4 pairs of cute shoes and they look new. Add 4 dresses, 4 tops etc., etc. and $40.00 was a great deal. Your blog entry didn't show up on my computer until Monday at 2:30.????? Maybe you will have to have a party of your own in Sandy.
